Edukids Taradale is a quality childcare centre on the edge of Bledisloe park in Taradale,
Napier. The natural environment and gardens around our centre make for great

Our staff genuinely enjoy children. Their strong intuitive sense of what
children want or are interested in means strong relationships are built. We
share the significant and magic moments in your child’s day with you. When you
leave your child with us you know they will be well cared for.
Our learning environment feels like home. Fresh baking and yummy cooking
smells drift through the rooms as we make meals and healthy snacks for the
children. When it’s time to rest, we have three spacious sleep rooms with fresh
bedding and that favourite blanket or toy from home.
We have won awards from our child friendly gardens. Children play in and
out of plants, bridges, butterflies and trees, they learn about worm farms,
gardening, chickens, eggs, recycling and nature. We go on ‘bear hunts’ and
watch the colours of the seasons change. We recommend bringing a change of
clothing because we love exploring clay, sand, and water.

Children learn best when all their senses are engaged. This simple trip to the park supports children to engage with the wider community. It creates the opportunity to explore, provoke courage and curiosity, enquire, and relax from their busy days. Children can take what they have experienced and build on this information in other areas of learning.
We do regular trips since we are so close to the library, shops, school and parks. We also do things like visit the Aquarium, or the Theatre.
Our programme
We want children to develop a love of learning. From babies to pre-schoolers we want to encourage children to be confident to try new things. We allow for each child’s different learning style and personality by providing a range of exciting and challenging activities that foster self-esteem, risk taking and decision-making. Our success also involves you, the parent, we create portfolios which we love you adding too, they records some of the learning your child is doing.
