Behind the fences off SH2 a team of qualified and enthusiastic Early Childcare educators provide a tranquil country environment where children can relax, play, learn and grow as confident learners. First Steps Aongatete is set amongst trees, shrubs, large lawn, vegetable garden, a giant sand-pit and pathways that interweave through the playground. Children and their families/whānau who attend First Steps Aongatete can expect nothing but the best, with honest and reciprocal relationships, a friendly stable team, fun and laughter and most importantly, we strive to meet your childs needs.
Every child has a comprehensive coloured portfolio kept of their progress. These are available to children, parents and family/whānau at all times and are a delightful record of how children’s development and learning is progressing while at ‘First Steps Aongatete’. Every 6 months the portfolios are sent home and parents/whānau are encouraged to join with the centre staff in planning for the future development of their child. The team at First Steps Aongatete are dedicated professionals with a philosophy to provide positive guidance to children/tamariki in partnership with parents, family/whanau and community. ‘First Steps Aongatete’ – it’s definitely a great place to learn and grow.
