For Quality Nurture & Education for your little one.
Hi, my name is Tracey and I am the Centre Manager at First Steps Te Atatu.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and our team
to you and ensure you, your friends and families, colleagues and
employees are aware of the great service we are providing on the Te
Atatu Peninsula.
I have been working at First Steps since 2008; Firstly as the
Assistant Manager running the under threes centre and now as the
Manager. I am passionate about my role in creating an environment and a
program that helps children reach their full potential.
Myself and the team at First Steps Te Atatu share a strong and
respectful teaching philosophy, which proves every day our commitment
to providing the children in our communities with passionate, respectful
and dedicated quality education and care. This inspires and ignites the
love of learning in our young children. We firmly believe that
children, who are inspired to learn and explore young, grow to become
confident life long learners. Our fully qualified teaching team
involves Tracey - Centre Manager, Amanda - Assistant Manager, and a team
of dedicated teachers, and last but not least our admin lady Kate.
We are open from 7.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Just some of the great services we can provide you and your little ones are…

Testimonial
My twins Jacob and Zachary started in the toddler/pre-school area at First Steps Te Atatu in November 2010. Since they have been at the centre, I have been extremely impressed and pleased with their progress and the care and attention given to them by the staff. They have been taught many new skills including dance, art, construction and also very important and essential life skills such as manners, sharing, independence and the staff even helped me with the twins’ potty training!
Whenever I enquire about what either one has them has been doing during the day, who they play with, what they ate for lunch, or any other queries I may have, the staff always take the time to talk to me and they always know exactly what each child has been up to, which fills me with great confidence that my children are not only learning but also are being supervised thoroughly throughout the day.
Their portfolios are always up to date and I love being able to look through them and see the photos of them putting into practice what they have been taught and hearing the stories behind the pictures.
The staff have been wonderful and my husband and I and the boys are very happy with our time at First Steps so far and look forward to starting our youngest child at the centre in the near future.
