Montessori @ Taradale is a quality pre-school that caters for children aged from 18 months to 6 years.
Our Montessori programme aims to give your child the opportunity to learn independence, self discipline, high self esteem, good social skills, problem solving skills, consideration for others and a life long love of learning – and respect. Respect for yourself, respect for others and respect for our environment. In doing so children develop self confidence, concentration, a sense of order and harmony.

At Montessori, children are encouraged to independently choose activities which lead them to self discovery. We provide an environment that supports children’s physical, moral, social emotional and intellectual development, so they can be the best they can be, believing in themselves and having a positive influence on the world.
By becoming part of our community, you also become a member of MANZ – Montessori Association of New Zealand – and receive quarterly magazines keeping you up to date.
Located in the heart of New Zealand wine country in the beautiful Hawkes Bay, our Montessori Pre-School offers an authentic Montessori programme supported by Montessori trained teachers and Early Childhood teachers who are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and committed to educating and caring for children.

childhood experience and our staff are passionate about education. This
is reflected in the high quantity of Montessori and Early Childhood
trained teachers we have. We have a very low turn over of staff allowing
your child to form bonds with their teachers. We aim to build
relationships between the centre and home.

We have a fantastic outdoor environment where the children are
