TopKids Pukuatua is a quality childcare centre for preschoolers situated in the heart of Rotorua CBD. Our centre is committed to supporting and extending your child’s independence and interests. Our centre is set up so that your child can choose what equipment or activity they would like to play with.

We have a diverse team of qualified teachers here at TopKids Pukuatua who have a range of experiences and skills.  All are passionate about the children in their care, and know how to extend each child's interests.

We ensure that children have a choice about their learning. Equipment and resources are available for the children so that they can choose what they would like to do.

Our environment is set up in a well-defined play spaces.  These include family play area, kai/food area, construction area, book and puzzle area, art area, carpentry area, and more.  The separation of areas helps children to know where things belong.

We have also seperate areas for children of different ages because we believe this helps develop children's learning. In the 'Infant room' relationships are respectful between teachers, children and parents. Our teachers work with your child at their pace, and all care moments are relaxed and unhurried.

When your child is enrolled at TopKids Pukuatua, a primary care giver is chosen for your child.  Because of this, a relationship is formed before your child's first visit. This allows your child to feel a sense of belonging and helps you and your child feel at ease on their first day. Our caregivers use notebooks to capture ‘magic moments’ – which are snapshots of what your child has done within their day.

We have a wide catchment area, as we are so close to Rotorua CBD.  We are able to walk to many of the local attractions – such as the parks, library, museum. We have wonderful support from our families, and value their contributions and support.

We have an open door policy, which means that parents are welcome to visit the centre at any time during our operating hours of 7.30am to 5.30pm.
