TopKids Totara Street is located in the business area of Totara Park. We are a stones throw away from Taupo Bungy and Spa Park.
Our quality childcare centre has two separate sections. One section is for our infants (3 months - 2 years) and the other one for our preschoolers (2 years - 5years). We provide education and care for children in separate rooms because we believe it supports children’s learning.
We see children as capable and competent learners, and we encourage them to make decisions for themselves. We also believe children learn best when they are surrounded by choice and are able to initiate and revisit their learning opportunities and experiences.
We ensure resources are accessible for children at a level where they can choose and experiment with their own activities. Children also access their own individual portfolios, enabling them to revisit their prior learning. We have also developed rolling meal times to encourage independence and self-help skills.
Our qualified teachers are also experienced in knowing when and how to engage children with new and different resources. This helps encourage the natural exploration process children work through as a part of their learning and development stages.
