Childcare or In home care
23 November 2011
In a quality childcare you will find properly trained professionals who chose this career because they love children ( not just to make some money on the side while they bring up their own children). Research has also shown that children in a quality childcare can do as well as if they had been brought up at home with their parent.
While in-home care can be good, there are more guarantees your child will be well-cared for, nurtured and stimulated in a quality childcare where there is more than one teacher looking after infants.
Our qualified teachers are trained to:
* Know how to care for the emotional well-being of children.
* Stimulate and occupy a child constructively and happily.
* Develop a child's motor skills as well as meet their emotional development.
* Encourage a child to meet their milestones.
Very few au pairs, untrained nannies, friends or even regular home based carers have these skills. All our teachers have over three years training and then a year in-service. We also provide regular professional development to ensure we stay up to date with child development.
The most significant advantage of quality childcare is that children have several adults to inter-act with. If one teacher is on a break or needs some down-time, there is always another responsible highly trained person to take up the slack. Children don’t slip through the cracks in professional high quality day care, which gives parents peace of mind.
All our centres are designed with the needs of children in mind, with equipment to amuse and educate different age groups. We have a stable work force which means your child creates bonds with the same people and gets familiar with the same surroundings.
Our teachers are trained to deal with children gently, and firmly if necessary. No physical violence is tolerated and if seen is reported. It's very hard to lose your temper with a child when there are other teachers present! You won't find one of our teachers disciplining your child in a way that you would not like. Neither can our teachers chat on the phone, have unauthorised visitors or pop children in front of tv while they do some chores!
Come and have a look at what a top quality infant centre offers children under two. Few homes are equipped with the toys, teaching aids and learning support found in our quality childcares. Our teachers will stimulate infants with conversation, extend them through their knowledge of how to encourage a child. Our skilled and caring teachers will ensure your child becomes articulate, social and confident.
